VEEDERSBURG, Ind. (CNS) – Mrs. Dora Mae Shell, 96, of 605 Home, died at 1:12 p.m., Tuesday (Nov. 16, 1976) at the Golden Manor Nursing Home in Ladoga. She was born in Cates on Dec. 8, 1879, the daughter of Samuel and Rue Ann Hibbs Wallace. On April 20, 1897, she was married to George Shell in Marshall. He died in 1942. Mrs. Shell was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Veedersburg. Survivors include a son, Forrest of Dayton, Ohio; four daughters, Mrs. Bernice McGraw of Salem, Ill., Mrs. Catherine Jones of Dayton, Mrs. Mary Fairchild of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Freeda Oakley of Evansville; 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, two sisters and two brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Friday at the Parham Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bonebrake Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.   -– jlr
